My Role at Nicolet:

Student Support Coordinator in the school's Multi-Layered System of Support

Nicolet is one of the best high schools in the state and nation, with a huge variety of academic, athletic, artistic and social opportunities.  All students can be successful and reach their potential, but no one has to do it alone.  Teachers, staff, Student Services and Student Supports work with students and families to give students what they need to be successful.  The Student Support Team at Nicolet works to accelerate student achievement by ensuring comprehensive, accessible, effective, and timely support for every student, every time of day.

Bio:

I am is fourth generation public school educator and grew up in the Chicagoland area.  I graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a B.A. in History and continued on to the UW-Milwaukee for the post-baccalaureate social studies teacher preparation program.  I completed his master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration at Concordia University Wisconsin.

I started my career teaching and leading change in Milwaukee Public Schools.  With a group of colleagues, I designed the curriculum and helped to start Montessori High School, an IB World School (now the high school program of MacDowell Montessori).  The school was awarded the Charter School of the Year Gold Award and the Business Journal’s Green Program of the Year Award.  For six years I served the Kimberly Area School District in several teaching and leadership roles, most recently as a social studies teacher, technology coordinator and LMC Co-Director at Kimberly High School.

Over the past five years, I have served as an administrator at Nicolet (Associate Principal) and the Milwaukee Public Schools (School Performance Coordinator & APIC of Transition High School).

I am thrilled to return to Nicolet High School as the Student Support Coordinator.  Our team has the privilege of serving all students in the building to reach their potential and grow academically and socially.
