Hello!

My name is Victoria Idstein and this is my eighth year as a teacher at Nicolet High School. This year, I will be teaching World Literature and Composition Honors, Sports Literature and Composition, and Fictional and True Crime and Composition. I couldn’t be more excited for our school year to get underway!

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2011 with degrees in both English and Spanish. While a student at UW, I had the opportunity to study abroad for a year in Madrid, Spain. This experience fostered my love of the Spanish language and culture and inspired to me pursue a degree in teaching. After completing my Bachelor’s degrees, I attended Marquette University where I received my teaching certification and my Master’s degree in Educational Policy and Leadership. Finally, I received my Master's in Language and Literacy from Cardinal Stritch University in 2019.

I appreciate the opportunity to work with your students as they develop as both readers and writers throughout their journey at Nicolet. In all English department courses, we focus on developing foundational skills that will allow students to communicate effectively and respectfully in their academics and beyond!

Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions that you or your students have throughout the year. Email is often the quickest way to get in touch with me.

Go Knights!
