I am available to meet with students
  • during resource
  • after school any day except Wednesday; please let me know that you will be coming

Class Resource:  The courses I teach are housed in Canvas.  All students have access to the following:

  • A calendar that is updated at the end of each day - this calendar contains information on what happened in class each day and upcoming assignments / assessments. Students must click on the calendar day to see the complete entry.
  • Almost all class materials including assignments, class materials, projects, handouts, and powerpoints are available to students in Canvas.

Students can access Canvas anywhere and can show parents the class Canvas information.

Submitting work: Many assignments will still be submitted via hard copy handed to the teacher.  This will be made clear in class, and the hard copies will be distributed in class as well.  Larger assignments will be submitted via Canvas.  No assignments should be submitted any other way.

Tardy Policy: Please see student handbook

Discipline: Please see student handbook

Grading Information
Grades will be based on summative assessments.  These are assessments given to demonstrate what students have learned.  In some circumstances, students may redo work at the teacher’s discretion. In order to redo work students must meet with the teacher to discuss how to improve the work submit the new version with the old version attach a typed paragraph to the teacher that explains what was done to improve the work.

Formative assessments will also be given.  The scores for these will be available in skyward so that students can monitor their own progress, but these scores will not count toward the quarter or semester grade.
